They are a tiny variety of kiwi, greeny-red with smooth edible skin.  You can see that the interior looks fairly like a mini-kiwi (mini-wi?).  The flavor is tart kiwi, the texture is sort of peachy.  They are great for snacking, and I think that once trimmed they would be perfect in fruit salads.Here they are with a quarter, for scale.
