A Little Bowl of Little Kiwiberries, and a Giveaway from Amy's!
I've never heard of these or seen them before! They are a tiny variety of kiwi, greeny-red with smooth edible skin. You can see that the interior looks fairly like a mini-kiwi (mini-wi?). The flavor is tart kiwi, the texture is sort of peachy. They are great for snacking, and I think that once trimmed they would be perfect in fruit salads.
Here they are with a quarter, for scale. Novelty!
Today's giveaway is brought to you buy the generous people at Amy's Kitchen. Three lucky winners will win a coupon good for any Amy's product, and another coupon for a free canned product. To enter, please leave a post below, telling me your about your favorite Amy's product, or a person you know named Amy, or anything at all. This giveaway is open to anyone who can get Amy's products. The coupons do not specify where they can be used, so enter if you can buy Amy's where you live!
The winners of yesterday's Turtle Island Foods free pizza coupons are Michelle and Meredith!
and the winners of the free product coupons are almiragoesvegan, louzilla, and veganf!
Please email me your address at miso...@yahoo.com. Congratulations!

Again I'm totally in the wrong country. I've never heard of any of the things you're posting about today. But gosh, are those kiwi berries cute!
ReplyDeleteI love kiwiberries. I love how they burst in your mouth. YUM! Need to find some. I usually get them at whole foods.
ReplyDeleteFav Amy's is their vegan mac and cheese. Thanks for these great giveaways!
I love to have the Amy's Black Bean Enchilada with a baked sweet potato and homemade guacomole.
ReplyDeleteAmy's Breakfast Burritos is my go-to Sunday morning breakfast. Quick, very tasty, and about the only vegan product of Amy's any of our local grocery stores sell.
ReplyDeleteI love Amy's Rice Mac'n Cheeze! The tamales would come in for a close second though :-)
ReplyDeleteYUM. Aren't they delicious? Kiwiberries are a trademarked "brand" of Actinidia arguta, hardy kiwi! So sweet and tender, easy to grow (they grow on HUGE vines), and hardy to zone 3. I'm planning on planting some next year to cover a trellis.

I love Amy's! I think my favorite product is the spinach and feta cheese pocket, but since I'm trying to not eat dairy anymore, I've been meaning to try their vegan pizza.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen the mini kiwi- how cute! My favorite Amy's products is the gluten free, vegan mac and cheese! It is so creamy, delicious, and fattening! LOL! :-) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love kiwi, and meant to try kiwiberries the last time I saw them! I used to live on Amy's burritos topped with vegan cheese and corn!
ReplyDeleteThe non-dairy burritos are pretty good, but the Rice Mac & Cheeze is the best mac and cheese I've ever had, vegan or dairy. I could eat that every day!
ReplyDeleteI love kiki, but have never seen those ones either. They look delicious though!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of amy's products (cheese-less mac and cheese?) and would love to get my hands on some :)
Amy's is great. I love their lentil soup for lunches on cold, cold days at work. And since November is here, I foresee lots of those days...
ReplyDeleteThose look yummy.... I will have to just look because we are allergic to the kiwi around here.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of Amy's enchiladas. yum.
I've been wanting to try Amy's new vegan mac & cheese with Daiya. A free coupon can make that happen!
ReplyDeleteAmy's makes the BEST frozen vegan burgers I've ever had. I love to have a box on hand for lazy nights :)
ReplyDeleteI've only tried a couple of amy's products but so far my favourite is the vegan mac and cheese. I've always been a sucker for Kraft Dinner and while it isn't an exact replica, it's pretty tasty!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the vegan mac & cheese, and I also live the vegan burritos!
ReplyDeleteI used to like Amy's Soy Cheese Pizza - back when I was vegetarian - but now that I'm vegan I'd like to try a cheese-free variety. I've got plenty of shredded Daiya in the fridge, so no worries! ;)
ReplyDeleteI like Amy's vegan Mac & Cheese and tons of other products. I am not a big fan of their vegan spinach pizza though.
ReplyDeleteThose kiwi's look so cool, I'll have to keep an eye out for them over here. My favourite Amy's product's probabbly the cheese less burrito just because it's super cheap & reading in 2 minutes - rad!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Amy's product is roasted vegetable pizza.
ReplyDeleteThe little tiny kiwis are adorable! I haven't tried many of the Amy's products because they're pretty pricey around here.
ReplyDeletegosh, I'm so amazed by your glorious bounty of giveaways. It's as awesome as I thought it would be! I've heard of those kiwi berries before, but only on the blogosphere... never in real life. I'll definitely scoop 'em up if I get a chance. As for the giveaway, my favorite Amy's product is most definitely their caramelized onion frozen pizza. I love the heck out of those things. Plus, my name is Amey, so it's all extra cool.
